How long is a family portrait session and where should we have it?
Sessions are typically 60 minutes in length and can be held either in-studio or on-location in the greater Roseville – Sacramento area. I have a ton of great locations to share with you, so if you have a certain look in mind you’d like, let’s chat and find the perfect spot for you.

What should we bring?
For family and/or children photo sessions: a drink, favorite toy, special stuffed animal…anything you think could be fun or helpful. Please make sure your little one has been fed and had a nap before the photo session for a more fun and positive experience.

What should I/we wear?

It is best to keep clothing simple, avoiding logos or busy patterns. I always suggest layers/textures. In group photos, color coordinating is always more pleasing to the eye. What if I have a pimple or a double chin in my photos, will you fix it?
All of your family pictures will be fully retouched. Any pimples, spots or uneven skin tones will be taken care of. You’ll be posed in the most flattering ways and this will normally take care of a double chin, if there is a great shot and you pull your head back by mistake I will fix it after the fact and you’ll never know it was there. So relax and enjoy the experience!

Will you pose us for the family pictures?
I will pose you, but not in a stiff and formal way. Posing is important to ensure that you look your very best in your photos. I’ll help you with some general tips along the way and may provide specific directions to avoid anything distracting. Once you’re in a flattering position, I’ll talk to you and get you to relax into the pose so that it looks very natural. I provide direction in a very fun, relaxed and natural way. I also keep shooting through the unplanned moments as candid, unposed photos are my absolute favorite kind. You’ll be so busy being directed and entertained that you won’t have time to feel awkward or uncomfortable.

How do we book a session?

When will I receive my photos?

Approximately 1-2 weeks after your session you will receive a link to view your gallery online or can come into the studio for a reveal session. Pictures will be professionally edited, color corrected(if needed), some offered in black & white and all in high resolution.

I accept cash, check, money orders or credit cards through Square.
